Many tribal nations are making it a top priority to address problematic substance use in their communities in an effort to provide safety and healing to their tribal citizens. Individuals with substance use disorders (SUD) often become involved in the justice system, leaving probation officers the complex task of supporting and monitoring those individuals through their journey towards recovery, healing, and stability.
